After a stint in the military, Phil McCusker returned to the D.C. area and played for Tim Eyermann’s East Coast Offering, later forming Blue Lunch, and funk group Barely White. His jazz quartet featuring his sister Maureen McCusker (vocals, flute, sax –Hank Levy’s Towson State Jazz Ensemble, Peabody Ragtime Ensemble in mid-‘80s) has played engagements at the Kennedy Center. Phil has also accompanied the bluegrass band for Gospel Brunch at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in D.C.
