An offshoot of the High Tyde including ex-Tyde members Al Cunniff (keyboards), Dan Swoboda (bass), and Les Arengo (drums). Also joining the group were Bub Deskin (lead guitar ex-Serpents, New Diablos), and Gary Deskin who filled in occasionally on bass. They were generally a Top-40 rock band performing hits by groups such as the Beatles, Stones, CCR… Seen at the Lantern Lounge, Fort Meade Service Club, school dances, and rec centers.

The band issued a single in 1970 on Al’s Concord label “Cold Cold Planet” b/w “Toast” (Concord 001). WJZ-TV aired a special feature interview with reporter Kay Montgomery about the band upon release of the single.

Cunniff wrote the weekly music column “The Beaten Path” in the Young World section of the Baltimore News American. He also produced records by local bands including Appaloosa on Concord Records and later produced some of Bub Deskin’s recordings.

Cunniff and Arengo went on to join the band Midnight Scratch. The Deskins joined Side Show.
