Keyboardist, song writer, producer and member of local bands High Tyde, Wanted, and Midnight Scratch. Al wrote the weekly music column “The Beaten Path” in the Young World Sunday supplement to The Baltimore News American. Interviews included Paul McCartney. Locally he produced his band Wanted and released a single on his Concord label. Other releases on Concord included Appaloosa, and Horizon. He produced singles by Bub Deskin in Baltimore and a Nashville single “Blue Monday” (Grand Prize Records) that received a “pick” in Billboard magazine. As a producer in Nashville his credits also include Carrie Slye (Friday Records) “Ease the Fever” Billboard Country Chart peaked at #78 in 1983.
