Power pop trio led by Reid Schoenfelder (guitar, lead vocals, main songwriter), with Steve Bent (bass, piano), and Madesta Everhart (drums, vocals). Group played locally and toured east coast. The Wanting Seed performed at the Philadelphia Music Conference, Southwest Music Festival, and opened shows for many national acts including Material Issue, Tommy Keene, Sidewinders, etc…
Recorded output included a cassette album, several singles, and a CD. Their songs “All My Time” and “Cathy” were included on 1993 HR Records comp “Summer.”
Schoenfelder later with popstar, also played in duo with Steve Cavano (Bum’s Rush, UXB). He later relocated to Atlanta and in 2008 released indie solo CD “ready world spy.”
