Concept band formed by musicians in the mid-Atlantic region. John West (lead vocals), Dane Williams (lead guitar), Donnie Hughes (bass), and Don Jakowski (keys) all relocated to Baltimore for the project. Jimmy Germaine (ex-The Accused) commuted from D.C., and Mike Fiore (drums ex-The Accused, Secret Service) was a local native. While the group played from the Carolina’s to Delaware, their main circuit was Baltimore clubs including Maxwell’s, Seagull, Girard’s, Sandbar, Electric Circus, Painter’s Mill Theatre, O.C. clubs…
West later with Vission… Williams and Fiore later collaborated on a 2011 CD “Where the Stars Kiss the Moon” as The Black Velvet Express (named after a band Fiore had been a member in 1969).
