Tommy Day and the Vogues was an Ellicott City band that offered “sophisticated psychedelic soul sounds.” Members included Jim Carpenter (guitar), Walter Somerville (drums), Dick Irwin (guitar), Steve Dalton (keys), and Tommy Day (bass).

They were seen at the Columbia Teen Center on several occasions. Competed at the Ellicott City Armory Battle of the Bands on July 29, 1967 vs. the Rebels, Excursians, Hazy Shade, and the Society’s Children.
