Howard County based rock and Top-40 band. The original lineup included Eddie Libertini (guitar ex-Seed, Penny Candy), Steve Dumler (bass ex-Shane), Mike Lowery (keyboards ex-Island, Broth), and Barry Swearman (drums ex-Island, Raven). Dottie Sloan was added as the lead vocalist. Dumler was replaced in 1976 with Alan Potocki (bass ex-Renegades, Broth, Ellicott Brothers, Raven).




After a major transformation around late 1977 the new Taxie line-up consisted of Libertini, and Sloan with Vince Cogswell (lead guitar), Mike Dumler (keys), Jim Wall (drums) replacing Swearman who went on to join Toys, Steve Smith (bass ex-Jupiter & Jets). Smith soon left to join Dragonfly. He was replaced with Howard Brown. Joe Loftus became the guitarist replacing Cogswell. Wall left to join Shane and Snowblind. He was replaced with drummer Paul Brown.

Potocki left in early 1977 and later worked with Bruce McMasters (of DC based Christopher & the Caterpillars ’88-92), Flattcreek (Annapolis bluegrass band ’89-94), Sudden Exposure (Eastern shore ’94-97), Esther Haines & Backroads Band (D.C. ’96-99), Rockin’ Pneumonia (Bethesda ’99-01), Big Al’s Bar Band (‘00s)…
Loftus went on to join Cry Monday… Howard Brown has also played in After Six, Bobby J & the Generations, and in the ‘00s could be seen with Maria Rose & the Blue Horizon Band. Mike Dumler later with Inner Realm…
