Flutist/vocalist/songwriter from Bowie. Later moved to Baltimore where she attended and went on to teach at the Peabody Conservatory. Once a member of pop group Termite, then worked as duo with guitarist Rich Radford. She started her solo career in late ‘90s described as a mix of rock and pop with classical influences.
In 1999 Taylor was voted Best Solo Artist in City Paper’s Best of Baltimore Readers Poll.
Her 2001 album “Songs for Strong Girls” was voted Best of Baltimore by City Paper, and Best Female Vocalist by Music Monthly.
Performance venues included Creative Alliance at the Patterson Theater (on double bill with Deanna Bogart Band), Ram’s Head (Annapolis), Walter’s Art Gallery, Maryland State Fair… Taylor was a Lilith Fair Talent Search finalist in 2001, and songs from her debut were featured on cable TV’s Food Network…,
