Multi-instrumentalist – bass, guitar, dobro, pedal steel, etc. His Baltimore bands included Headin’ West, and Tall in The Saddle. He eventually headed west to Santa Monica, CA, where he found work as a studio musician, and went on to establish Rifkin Productions working as a studio musician and recording engineer. He recorded and/or toured with artists as diverse as Bruce Springsteen (Devils & Dust, Live In London, The Ghost of Tom Joad, Western Stars, Chapter & Verse), Smokey Robinson, Tom Petty (Wildflowers), Weird Al Yankovic, Dwight Yoakum, Jewel (Spirit), Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton, Deanna Bogart (Soundtrack To A Dream, Just A Wish Away), Linda Ronstadt documentary, TV’s The Voice, with hundreds of album credits, and movie soundtracks… Member of L.A. band Chris Shiflett & the Dead Peasants…
