A December 1984 Maryland Musician Magazine article reads “The Crouch-Prosser-Bouret Band, a Baltimore based R&B quartet, has released their first 45, “Hold Me” backed with a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away.” “Hold Me has received airplay on Baltimore’s 98 Rock’s “Home Tapes” and “Fine Times Tonight” on WSTW, 93.7 FM.
Ed Shockley from Jack of Diamonds is the band’s drummer and keyboardist. Lead vocals are by Rhonda Crouch-Prosser and Barry Prosser. Leo Bouret plays bass, and Barry Prosser doubles on guitar and slide guitar.
The group was essentially the same lineup as ’80s group Forplay with a different drummer.
Barry, formerly of bands Ben-Wa, Tall In The Saddle, the duo Ogle & Prosser, continues playing in the ’20s with his groups The Ordeal, and the Vaguely Absurd.
They released a single engineered by Bill Mueller.
