R&B group formed by vocalist Ira Glover along with the former Panama Band rhythm section consisting of Robert Wilson (guitar), Gary Hudgins (keyboards), replaced with Arthur Scribner (keyboards), Bill Harris (bass ex-Potentials, Crosswind, Panama), David Wells (sax), Tony Miller (percussion), and Bobby Ricks (drums ex-Changor & Co., Crosswind, Panama). Vocalist Yolanda Parker aka ‘P-Nut’ joined in early ‘90s.
Priority played Gentlemen Ten, Gatsby’s, Famous Ballroom, Dotson’s, Martin’s West, and many cabarets… Meyerhoff with Jerry Butler & the Drifters. 5th Regiment Armory with Betty Wright, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland…

Priority performed live for the stage production “Tambourines to Glory” that ran for sixteen weeks at the Tower Showcase Theater on Reisterstown Road. The band played behind the scenes, and Ira was a cast member and sang the songs “Respect,” and “You’re Nobody Til Somebody Loves You.” Following this play they performed the stage presentation of “An Impromptu Christmas Story” that ran at the Tower from November of that year through January.
After Priority split Glover formed Everyday People. Scribner and Ricks were founding members of the Rollex Band, and later along with Harris, the trio became the nucleus of the Manhattans backing band.…
