The Luvs, a 4-piece rock and roll group with Rudy Norman (vocals), Glen Smith (bass guitar, vocals), Tom Murray (guitar), Ed Schieser (guitar), and James Murray (drums).



The Luvs played on Sunday’s during the summer of 1966 at the Beaver Dam Swim Club in Cockeysville. The band could also be seen at the Zoo club in Brooklyn, and Middleborough Teen Center concert on June 21, 1967 with the Chapter VI, and the New Diablos. They became the longtime Sunday and Wednesday night band at the Keystone where they sometimes performed on double bills with the Majestics. Also performed Unity Hall, Sacred Heart of Mary CYO, and at the UAW Hall East Side Blast on September 12, 1969 along with the Exquisites, and Creation. Bookings for performances were handled by manager Frank Yirka.
The group later became known as Spike.
