The Continentals could be seen on weekends as the house band at the Graceland Holiday Room in 1960. Throughout the early ‘60s they played at the Golden Ring Inn – billed as the Twistin’ Continentals, also seen at Julians and the Satyr House. In 1964 the band, led by Jimmy Wells (see bio) and featuring vocalist Delores Lynn (see bio) played regularly at the Red Fox Lounge, Patapsco Inn, and the Hilander. They were also seen in 1967 at the Red Fox backing vocal star Ethel Ennis.
