Jazz Trio featuring Byrd (organ), Arnold Sterling (alto sax), and Johnny Polite (drums). Byrd started out in the early ‘60s in a group with saxophonist George Muldrow. He went on to tour with Sonny Stitt and made many performances with the Left Bank Jazz Society at the Famous Ballroom. In the 00’s he played for Earl Wilson & Phase One. Sterling had previously toured with Jackie Wilson in late ‘50s. He went on to work with Jimmy McGriff, Sonny Stitt, organist Don Patterson, drummer Percy Smith, and others. Polite later led his own bands (see bio) while also working with Mickey Fields and others.
