Seen at the Club Casino, and the Lucky Number Club on Poplar Grove. The group featured Cornell Muldrow (organ), George Muldrow (tenor sax), and Willie Woodley (drums). Tenor/alto saxophonist Carlos Johnson also played for the Trio in the late ‘60s before forming his group Phase One. The Bim Bam Boos released a single on Joe Dashers’s record label “Can’t Sit Down” b/w “Lucky Number.”

Cornell joined the Phil Upchurch Combo and they released a new version of the Dasher / Muldrow instrumental “You Can’t Sit Down – Pt. 1 & Pt. 2” (Boyd 329) in 1961. The song later became a national Top-10 vocal hit by the Dovells in 1963.
Cornell led his own trio in the ‘60s. George and Willie also played for Claude Grant’s Trio.
