Jazz saxophonist originally from Hollywood, Florida. Attended Towson State University and studied under Hank Levy. Al freelanced with local (and Florida) jazz bands as well as icons such as Little Anthony & the Imperials, Shirelles, Guy Lombardo Orchestra, while also teaching music at TSU and Curley High School.


The Al Maniscalco Quartet featuring Al (sax), with Darius Scott (keyboards), Mike Matthews (bass), and Eric Kennedy (drums) released a CD on Jalkoda Records. A 2001 CD featured Al with Scott, Kennedy, and bassist Jeff Reed. The Quartet performed often at the Bayou Blues Café (White Marsh)… Drummer Dan Garvin (SR-71) also worked with the group in the late ‘90s. George Colligan (piano -Rumba Club…)
Al was also organizer of weekly jam sessions at the New Haven Lounge. He moved back to Florida in early ‘00s.
