Jazz and hip-hop trumpet player from West Baltimore. Graduate of Peabody Conservatory of Music. Toured worldwide with the Gary Thomas Quintet, R&B artist D’Angelo, gospel artist Natale Wilson, pop singer Christine Aguilara, and others. Also performed with Clark Terry, Wynton Marsalis, Milt Jackson, Freddie Hubbard, Stevie Wonder, Gary Bartz, Cyrus Chestnut, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and many others. Performed for Broadway musicals “Dinah Was” and “Ain’t Misbehavin’.” Performed and (or) produced for rapper Xzibit, American Idol winner Reuben Studdard, gospel artist Mary Mary, and cable TV program “Pimp My Ride.”… Seen locally at the Eight by Ten…
1996 voted Best Up-and-Coming Jazz Musician in Baltimore City Paper poll. 1997 semi-finalist in Theloneous Monk International Trumpet competition, and finalist in Marvin Hamlisch Search for A Star. 2002 won Children’s Music category of John Lennon Songwriting contest with composition “I Love School.”
