A 1976 lineup featured James Ross, DeVille Summerville (ex-Softones), Gary Shiffman, Ricky Wallace, Tyrone Davis, with vocalists Bobby Sydnor (lead tenor ex-Odyssey), Michael Tucker (second tenor) and Byron Summerville (baritone ex-Softones).

Turning Point appeared at the Chanticleer, Sportsmen’s Lounge… Also traveled to Las Vegas and toured nationally as opening group for Dionne Warwick.

Turning Point released a single “Love Is Real”
Group’s road manager James Ross also managed Manhattans, Skip Mahoaney & Casuals.
Turning Point toured nationally and shared stages with Earth Wind & Fire, Wild Cherry, and others.
Davidson later with Hot Flesh, Some Friends of Mine, Future Now… Pearson also with Black Image, Chain Reaction, Some Friends of Mine, Future Now, and as a sideman with many talented jazz artists.

Bobby Sydnor also sang lead for the group Pieces of April, a group that also included vocalists Earl Bradsher, and Steven Green.
