R&B group originated in Ashburton area of West Baltimore. Members included ‘Razz’ (guitar), William Ross (guitar), Richard Walker (guitar), ‘Big Butch’ (bass), Ellis (keyboard), ‘Little Butch’ (drums), Warren Garrison (sax), Charles Stanley (sax). A teen group, most members attended Frederick Douglas High School, they performed at cabarets and teen centers.
Ross and Walker were later with the Surgeons, Tan Beatles… Garrison (see Warren Garrison Quintet) later with The Tampicos, and went on to play in bands of Baltimore’s greatest R&B singers, as well as a stint touring with Luther Ingram’s Unit Truth. Stanley’s later groups included Curtis Wise & the Trojans…
