Hot jazz group covering ‘20s / ‘30s dance music, named after the B&O Railroad Royal Blue Line. Group performed jazz conventions, corporate events, private parties, weddings, Harborlights Music Festival at Pier Six, etc. throughout the mid-Atlantic area. Many members were active in groups associated with the Potomac River Jazz Club, Bay City 7, Last Chance Jazz Band… A 1985 lineup featured John Floyd II (bandmaster, brass bass, vocals), Dave Robinson (cornet), Joe Lazzaro (trumpet), Steve Welch (trombone), Bob Thulman (sax, clarinet), Sam Jenkins (sax, clarinet), Max Geller (sax, clarinet), Mark Kotishion (piano, vocals), Frank Weidefeld (banjo), and Richard Vasquez (drums).
