Rock band from Mt. Washington area formed by Ronnie Raffel (guitar, vocals ex-Lucifer’s Mother), with Allan Bormel (bass ex-Emerson’s Old Timey Custard-Suckin’ Band), Neil Friedman (rhythm), and Joe Adler (drums).

Riff Raff frequented Finnegan’s Wake (formerly the Upstairs) where they opened a series of shows for Tim Hardin. Raffel and Bormel were invited to Hardin’s studio in Woodstock, New York, although unfortunately nothing came of the sessions.

Bormel went on to join Krackers… Raffel later spent two years as a road manager for Cactus. He did recordings in Hollywood at El Dorado Studios. After moving to New York, he eventually became quite well known as a street performer playing acoustic guitar and singing at the 14th Street subway station since 1995. He starred as himself in the 2006 movie documentary “Downtown Locals.”
