Reisterstown based Top-40/funk and disco band. Members Jeannie Parker (vocals), Ed Kerz (guitar), John Herbert (bass), Fred Leffler (keyboards ex-Sound of Dust, Phred), and Nick Constantinides aka Nicky C (drums ex-Chateaux, Sticky Leaf, United Endeavor).

Pzazz – at Cromwell Holiday Inn Golden Gate Lounge

Ed brought in his wife Fran Kerz on vocals and the group split with Ed retaining the name Pzazz. The new lineup was Ed and Fran with Howard Brown (bass ex-Bobby J & Generations, After Six), Perry Cooper (keyboards ex-Sass), and Nicky C. Nicky  was later replaced with Steve Beckley aka Poki (drums), and in turn replaced with Sam Alascia. Brown was replaced with Dennis Winterstein (bass). Pzazz played regularly at the local clubs such as the Bastille, Marmadukes, Horn’s Lounge, Red Horse (Frederick), Chat n’ Chew (Frederick), Redwood Inn (Aberdeen), while also traveling to clubs in D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

New members of the original band included guitarist Stan Turk (ex-United Endeavor). Bass guitarist Bill Musser later replaced John Herbert. This band later morphed into Secrets.

Ed and Fran continued performing as a duo. Alascia and Brown later joined guitarist Doug Lester to form the Park Lounge house band (Sam’s dad’s club). Brown also went on to play with Borderline Express, Flipside…
