The “sweet soul music” sounds of the Kindred Soul could be heard at many teen centers, concerts, and on local television. The East Baltimore group was a favorite at the Holy Rosary CYO and at Our Lady of Fatima CYO.
On April 14, 1968 the Kindred Soul performed for the Danny Thomas Teen Drive Concert. The band also played at the Zoo’s St. Jude Parade of Stars with 9 other local bands on April 17, 1968. They made a television appearance on the Ron Richman Show – Channel 24 – at 7:30 PM Tuesday April 19, 1968. The group competed in the Teen Fair Battle of the Bands at the Civic Center in June 1968.
