R&B group consisted mostly of students that attended Southwestern Jr. and Sr. High schools. Members included Steve Royal (tenor sax & founder 1970-72 – later with Jamal), Chris House (trumpet & co-founder ’70-72), Kenneth Jackson (flute ’70-72), Allen Colbert (bass/vocals ’70-71), David Colbert (tenor sax ’70-71), Kermit Golden (bass ’71), William Mayfield (lead guitar ’70-71), William McClure (piano/keyboards ’70-72), Kevin Johnson (lead guitar ’71-72), JJ ?? (percussion ’70-71), William Billy Darden (drums ’71), Sam ‘The Mosquito’ ? (drums ’71-72), Duane Meechie ? (bass ’70 – later started Liquid Love), Darrell Burrell (alto sax ’71-72), Ronald Steele (lead vocals ’70-71), Bobby Sydnor (lead vocals ’70 – later with Turning Point, Pieces of April), Robert Topping (lead vocals ’70-71), Moe ? (lead vocals ’71), Lenny Scovens (lead vocals ’71), and a vocal trio managed by Stewart Price circa 1972 noted by Steve as “the best singers we ever had” – consisting of Lonnie Gilmore, Marion Washington (later with Black Ice – passed away on June 7, 2012), and Grant Lee.
