East Baltimore band. Members included Bob Matarozza (guitar, vocals), Ken Klein (keyboard, lead and backing vocals), Joe Peisinger (bass, lead and rhythm guitars), Gregory Stec (tenor sax, percussion), and Mike Netro (drums, vocals). Matarozza, Peisinger, and Netro had previously been in an earlier band together.
Shawn & the Lad’s manager named the group and secured gigs for them primarily at the enlisted men’s and NCO clubs at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, the Carlisle War College in Carlisle PA, and the North Cumberland Army Depot near Harrisburg PA. The group also appeared at a special St. Wenceslaus CYO Christmas show held at the Lyceum on Duncan & Madison Streets on Dec. 21, 1968 with host Kerby Scott. They could also be seen at the Holy Rosary CYO.
