R&B/rock group formerly known as Dublin Soul, a ten-piece old school R&B band with three vocalists, three horns, and rhythm section. Members Ray Stalcup (guitar), Charlie Steinhauser (bass), Victor Ramage (keyboards), John Kessel (drums), Frank Shuetz (led the horn section), and vocalists Sherry Fulton, John Donauer, and L.A. Young.

In 1996 the band decided it needed a new name. They started a contest to come up with a new name to be announced on New Years Eve at their favorite venue The Brass Rail. By early 1997 the group became known as Joyride.
Joyride performed weekend clubs, dances and private affairs.
In 2006 the group was reborn as a smaller blues and R&B band fronted by Chauncey Harris (guitar, vocals see-Billy ‘Madhatter’ Davis), with original members Steinhauser, Ramage, Kessel, and Schuetz (horns), adding Jeff Quelet (guitar, vocals).

Steinhauser also played concurrently with the Reisterstown Jazz Ensemble, and Downstairs Jazz in the ‘00s. Young later led the group LA and the Unusual Suspects…
