Founder of Baltimore’s first booking agency for acoustic performers. His agency Black River Productions (see bio) represented many local performers. Jack also managed Greg Kihn from 1968-72 before he signed with Beserkley Records in Berkeley California.
In 1980 Heyrman and partner Tom Sitler founded Clean Cuts Records. The label was first distributed by Adelphi Records (1980-80) and then distributed nationally by Rounder Records. (1984-98). Clean Cuts released recordings by Baltimore artists including albums by Wall Matthews, Jessica Williams, OHO, Bruce Springstone (see The Reason), as well as nationally known artists including the Phil Woods Quartet, Dr. John, and Cedar Walton.
