Traditional and progressive bluegrass band featuring brothers Mike Garris (banjo) and George Garris (guitar) originated in the Hanover area. The duo performed together starting in the late ‘70s. In 1977 the group also included Caleb Linder (mandolin), Dave Hooper (bass), and Sue Raines (fiddle). More recently Sue Raines (Sue Tice) with her husband Bob Tice (banjo) played for the Bad Dog Bluegrass band and the Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition. Sue appears as a guest artist on Jordan Tice (her son) 2005 bluegrass CD “No Place Better” (Patuxent Music). Mike went on to play guitar and bass with his Mike Garris Band, Mike Garris & Area 51, toured with David Grisman’s Bluegrass Experience, toured and recorded with Del McCoury Band, recorded with Nashville artist Ronnie Bowman…
