Towers went to Houston, Texas in 1971, returning to the group in 1973. He was replaced with Jeff Lutzi. Trudy Cooper (drums, vocals) also had a stint with Flow before joining Sun Country.

While in Texas, Towers met the talented keyboardist Sandy Blankenship who returned to Baltimore with him in 1973. The two would later marry. Sam rejoined the group and after the departure of Bill Davis, Sandy took his place.

Flow was the first band to open Motherlode’s Wild Cherry, becoming the house band in late 1973 and into 1974 when they were known as Touch. The group also played the Dungeon, and the Beach Club in Ocean City. When the Mardi Gras club burned down it also took the group’s equipment.

Bailey, Davis, and Peters later joined Touch along with former bandmates. In 1974 Sam and Sandy Towers moved to Michigan.
