Vernon recalled “I replaced a lead guitar player named Kenny – who was gracious enough to break me in… We played a lot of big society gigs and a Governors Ball at The Belvedere Hotel… “We had fun and a few mad capped escapades, like the night that we played for a function at The Friendship Hotel by BWI airport and found out that Frank Zappa, (whose music we had been playing on our sound system for break music for the last six months “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow”) was staying the night upstairs in the hotel waiting to get an early morning flight and we all decided to pay him an unannounced visit at one AM. His female companion was not pleased to say the least!”

Maxcy went on to join Horizon, Sentries… Fischer moved to Charlottesville VA in 1980 and continued a musical career that included teaching and performing jazz, old time string music, and classical. He played with many great musicians and played for many dignitaries. In 2005 released his first CD “Island Dreams and Fantasies.”
