Who-influenced teen band that mixed quirky originals with classic covers. Dan O’Neil (lead vocals), Paul Grden (guitar), John Cochran (bass), and John Grden (drums). Driving Force was a finalist in Baltimore’s best unknown bands by 98 Rock.
On April 2, 1982 they came in 3rd out of 11 in a battle of the bands contest at Oddfellows Hall sponsored by the Baltimore Sun.
Cochran left in summer of ’82 and was replaced with Gregg Plitt. Bass guitarist Jeff Vogtman also sat in with the group.

John Grden later with Have Mercy… Cochran did stints with bands Raw Sewage, Expressway… Vogtman later went on to play guitar and bass with Possessed, Red October, The Thieves…
