Rock band led by Gary Brown (guitar, sax) originally formed by members of Night Train. Doubts played mix of modern rock with retro ‘60s sounds. The original lineup included Brown with Angelo Grandinetti (bass), Dave Woodworth (guitar ex-Clyde), Bill Maher (lead vocals), and Larry Bavaro (drums). Bavaro was replaced with Edgar ‘Chip’ Myers (ex-Paragon, Plexus).
The short-lived group folded in 1981 and Gary formed the first version of the Gary Brown Group. In 1983 Gary and Edgar Myers (drums) re-formed the Doubts with original Doubt Angelo, adding guitarist Paul Gregorzak.

Bavaro was later with Mannekin, Beat Boys… In the ‘00s he played for Big Stuff. Gary and Edgar continued to perform in the ‘00s as a duo and sometimes as part of Gary & the Groove band. Edgar has played on the Lady Baltimore with guitarist Scott McCloud, and has been a member of groups Windjammer, Windows, Paper Cup… Angelo also plays with Gary’s bands in the ‘00s.
