Full time Hampden area group managed by John Schoeberlein. Original members were John Cerici (lead guitar, vocals), Steve Wiles (rhythm, vocals), Wally Bosman (bass, vocals ex-Flying Circus), Fred Welk (keyboards, vocals), and Bruce Hoffman (drums). Hoffman was replaced with Hollis Ambrose (ex-Flying Circus) – who was later replaced with Edgar Myers aka ‘Chip’ Myers. John Hall was added as vocalist about one year after band was formed.
Paragon played high school dances (Lansdowne), house band gigs at the Lighthouse on Eastern Boulevard, Lord Baltimore Hotel, and at Perch’s Place. They could also be seen at the Grog Shop.
Paragon evolved into Johnny Crystal & the Lights, and later to Shoot the Works.
Bosman later with Spring Fever… Myers later played for Plexus, Windjammer, Windows, Paper Cup, Doubts. He continued to perform in the ‘00s (seen with Gary & the Groove).
