Vince began performing live music in 1965 in a duo with his sister Vicki. As Vince and Vicki, they performed together for several years and were seen at 15 Below coffee house in Timonium.

In 1969 Vince got his first solo gig appearing at the Squires Quarters (later known as the Dulaney Inn). Pat O’Brennan was performing there and asked Vince to come up and perform a song. This led to regular appearances at the club where he went on to perform using the stage name Vincent Daryl. Later in ‘69 he was joined by bass player Barry Dalton and occasionally by a drummer named Paul. Barry accompanied Vince through 1974 and later went on to join the group Tapestry.

In the mid-’70s Vince was a member of the Lower East Side with John Linthicum and Jimmy Hughes. Since then, he performed stints as a solo guitarist working at Donatelli’s, Papillon in Ellicott City (also using the stage name Vinnie Dee – seen at Back of the Vac in the early ‘80s), and played for the groups Bandit, Nightshift, Legend, and the Charmed Times Reunion Band.

Vince recorded a CD of his original songs at Flite 3 titled “Radio Baby” with a group he called Vinnie Dee & Escape. It was Vince (vocals, guitar), with Ted Peterson (guitar), Tim Torba (bass), Vince Palacorolla (keys), Tom Palacorolla (drums), and Roger Pace (sax). A second (untitled) CD by Escape featured the lineup as above minus Peterson.

The Verge was created as a studio band to record Vince’s original music and a CD was released in 1992 titled “On The Verge.” The studio band featured Vince (vocals, guitar, synth), Brian Miller (lead guitar), Alex Cadoux (bass), and Mike Reardon (drums). A Vinnie Dee privately pressed CD in 2001 featured more of Vince’s original songs with accompaniment by members of the Lower East Side John Linthicum (lead guitar), Jimmy Hughes (bass), Alex Cadoux (bass), and Bob Jones (drums).
