Formed by members of Meadow / Pieces. Al Donatelli (guitar ex-Exit) along with ex-Meadow members Mike Ferrara (vocals-also ex-Sawbuck), Jeff Lutzi (bass -also ex-Progressions, Good Grief, Maypole), and Andy Armetta (drums).
Day Star was together a brief ten months or so and played mainly bars and clubs in the city and surrounding Baltimore County.
Armetta, a veteran of many Baltimore groups including Exit, Expressway, Threshold, and Apricot Brandy, later joined Lucifer.
