Towson/Lutherville based British style rock band formerly known as Jay Dee & the Chasers. Members included Jeff Drinkwater (lead vocals), Breck Chapman (guitar), Bob Wilkerson (guitar), Larry Collins (bass), and Sonny Lombardo (drums).
The Children performed original material and rock covers at the Bluesette, Northpoint Gardens, Pot Springs Teen Center, Church of the Redeemer, and others. They continued at these venues as Jay Dee & the Chasers. In fall of 1966 Chapman left to attend college. Drinkwater, Wilkerson, and Lombardo went on to the Heard.
