89.7 FM founded in 1972 as WVTS (The Voice of Towson State) became known for its progressive rock and diversified programming. As WCVT, Rod Meisy was a station personality. Rod’s programming included interviews with local bands.
In the ’80s Skizz Cyzyk (see bio) served as Music Director for a time, and hosted “The Local Band Show.”
The station continued its diversified offerings as WTMD in the ‘00s.
