Punk rock band evolved out of the group Rubber Sole. The Thumbs featured an original lineup of Mike Hall (guitar), Bobby Borte (guitar), and Mark Minnig (drums). The trio released a 5-song 7” EP in 1997. Their 1998 CD featured Minnig on bass and Phil Spence on drums. Subsequently went through several drummer changes.
The Thumbs toured extensively throughout the US and Japan.
