Keyboardist / vocalist seen at Rene’s Papillon in Ellicott City with his Zee Band and his signature blues-rock-swing good time music. With band and as a solo artist he became a regular at Fells Point Clubs during the ‘80s-90s at the Waterfront Hotel, and the Full Moon Saloon. His credits include providing the piano tracks to David DeBoy’s seasonal hit “Crabs for Christmas.”
Zee has written music for PBS, cable TV’s Discovery Channel, and Home and Garden Television. Won 1994 New York Film Festival award, and 2001 grand prize winner of Music to Life contest sponsored by Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul & Mary. He wrote the theme for the Cinemaryland cable TV show for Howard Community College, and his song “My Angel” was featured in Steve Yeager’s indie film “On the Block.” Zee has opened shows for artists such as the Nighthawks…

In the ‘00s David could be seen at the Cat’s Eye Pub in Fells Point. His first solo CD “Can’t Sit Still” released in 2000 was recorded at Secret Sound Studios. Zee (keyboards, guitar, bass, vocals) was accompanied with David E. Smith (sax, vocals), John Grant (guitar, vocals), Ken Fradley (trumpet), Ralph Tucker (drums), and vocalists Maureen Jackson, and Mike Shacochis.
