Guitarist / vocalist from Carroll County. In 1965 he won top honors as Top Male Vocalist in the Baltimore area at WBMD’s Country Music Roundup. He and his group went on to win the State Championship for Best Band at Shilo Dude Ranch with competition from five states. Determined to make is as a recording artist he built a four-track recording studio in his home and did all the instrumentation and vocals for his original music. In April of 1976 he went to Nashville and worked with producer Pete Drake. In 1977 Wright signed with Nationwide Sound Distributors to market his records.
