Carroll County based pianist, vocalist, and bandleader. His groups performed at the Hunt Club, Elk’s, VFW, Lion’s Clubs, fire hall dances (Winfield, New Windsor…), bull roasts, county fairs, etc.

His group the Country Music Makers released a single circa 1968. In ‘70s he led a pop group called the Woodenaires, a group that included Happy Thomas (guitar), Lynn Fisher (sax)… They performed locally and recorded original songs. One of his signature originals was titled “Motel Time.” Donald & the Woodenaires released single on Clark label in Goodlettsville TN.

Wood also produced recordings by Robbie Gouge & Woodland Sound, Bob Fryfogle…
