Country artist Art Williams recorded at Ralph Johnson’s studios in the ‘60s. He released a single on Fleet record label “20 Steps Away” b/w “Another Night” (both sides written by Kenneth Kincer). The single was produced by Joey Welz who also played piano on the session. Bassist George Betz (ex-Ducanes) also played for the Williamaires. Betz led his own country group Southern Crust in the ‘70s.

Williams released a single on the Rebel label of Mt. Ranier, Maryland in 1968 “Here’s What’s Left of Me” b/w “Loving Lies.”

Art Williams & the Williamaires were house band at the Carlton Lounge on Pulaski Highway during the mid-’70s.
