From the liner notes of his 1973 album with The Tyme Machine, a Columbus, Ohio group that featured George (guitar, lead vocals), with Gary Martin (bass, vocals) and Bill Humes (drums, vocals):

“The best investment George Westermeyer III ever made was a twelve dollar second hand guitar he purchased from a buddy while he was in the Army. His buddy also taught him how to play and George learned well, becaues a short time later George won first place in two base talent shows at Fort Slocum, N.Y., and Moonson, Korea. George Westermeyer III has been a winner ever since! George sang in service clubs all over the world and in many clubs in the U.S.A. “

“After his honorable discharge George went home to Baltimore, Maryland. It was there that things started to happen. It didn’t take long for everyone to realize how talented and entertaining he was. He has been entertaining fans in New Mexico, Michigan, Missouri, Maryland and Ohio. It is with great pride and extreme pleasure we present to you George Westermeyer III’s first live album “It’s So Nice To Be With You.”
