Here is his “Brief Bio” as borrowed from the Shea Welsh website “One of the most in-demand guitarists in Los Angeles, California, Blujazz recording artist Shea Welsh is also a noted composer, producer and educator. His jazz quartet has a monthly residency at Tripp in Santa Monica, CA. His global music group, Renaissance Heart, recently released their new single “One World.” They perform regularly around the world. He produced and co-wrote for Michelle Coltrane’s most recent recording “Awakening” and he is the musical director for her touring band. His latest project, the Shea Welsh & Hope Diamond Blues Experience, features Shea’s fiery guitar playing along with Hope’s dynamic vocals a la Buddy Guy meets Koko Taylor. His compositions have been featured in films and television shows such as “Lincoln Heights.” He is a professor in the guitar department at the University of Southern California running their USC Summer Guitar Seminar for eighteen years.”
