Post-punk psychedelic pop band formed by ex-Churchmice Millie Landrum (vocals, guitar, percussion, violin, keys), and Rick Schaub aka ‘Rick Ivy’ (vocal, guitar, percussion). Will Lamb (various instruments) was an occasional member early on. Schaub left the group in 1995 and was replaced with Jim Hesser (vocals, guitar, snare, trumpet). Millie ultimately married Jim becoming Millie Hesser.

An early gig featured Millie and Rick as a duo performing Rick’s original music for the Villa Julie College production of the play The Mandrake. Through the ‘90s-00s Waterplanet performed locally at the Ottobar, 13th Floor, Talking Head, Wolford’s Bakery, Eight by Ten, 14 Karat Cabaret, The Bank, SoWeBo Festival, Paloma’s, Café Tattoo, Mojo Room… while also traveling to Brooklyn NY (Big Art Show), Philadelphia (CODE Space, The Catbox), D.C. (Artomatic), Alexandria VA (Galaxy Hut)…

The group showcased at the Philadelphia Music Conference (2 years), Millenium Music Conference (5 years), Independent Music Conference in Philadelphia (2 years)… They shared stages with Northern Liberties, Suran Song in Stag, Linda Smith, Wire Orchestra, Myracle Brah, The Dirt, etc…

Their song “Heedless/Headless” by Millie Landrum-Hesser was covered by Myracle Brah (Rainbow Quartz Records), and featured on “Buzzlighter 8 Natural Anthems” CD (Shut Eye Records).  “Hive” by Millie Landrum-Hesser was remixed by Alex Strama of Wire Orchestra (MT6 Records). Feature article in Towson University alumni magazine. Interviewed/performed on Backyard Rocker show (Q94 WBXQ Altoona, PA).
