Country/bluegrass banjoist/guitarist originally from Chatham Hill, VA, before moving to Baltimore, where he played with the Ozark Mountain Boys, the River View Boys, then joined Earl Taylor’s Stoney Mountain Boys in 1959. McCall’s career took him to the Grand Ole Opry, and clubs throughout the country.
