One of Baltimore’s earliest hardcore punk bands. Name changes (Red Guard Youth – to Red Guard – to Trud) and line-up changes resulted in original line-up of Danny Lindenstruth (Daniel Higgs) aka Danny Truth (vocals), Alex Layne (guitar), Joey Cirri (bass), and Skizz Cyzyk (drums).
The band played at a weekend-long hardcore festival in 1982 at Terminal 406 on Eutaw Street, which included national acts Black Flag, T.S.O.L., Autistic Behavior, and Saccharine Trust, along with local acts Jerry’s Kids (later known as Fear of God), and The Bollocks. Trud also opened for The Misfits at Terminal 406 that fall.
More name changes (Clown College) and line-up changes (Billy Bien, London May, David Rhodes, Joe Goldsborough) resulted in band becoming Reptile House in 1983.
