Top-40 group with good vocal harmonies. Members included Larry Bonaccorci (lead guitar), Russell Schwartz (keyboards. rhythm guitar), Mike Ertel (bass), Luther Jennings (sax), John Jansen (drums).
The Tempos appeared at Sweeney’s, also stints as house band at the Club Venus and the Beach Club in Ocean City….
Jansen left to join Dryed Ice, and later Lemon-Lime, Side Show… He was replaced with drummer Tim Steele. Steele later took Jansen’s position in Dryed Ice. Schwartz later joined the Seventh See. Jennings went on to join the Notations.
The group disbanded as all the members were drafted for military service. They eventually re-formed in 1972 becoming known as Loose Change.
