Indie rock. Ex-members of Roads to Space Travel Greg Preston (guitar, vocals), Tim Baier (guitar, bass, vocals), and Roman Kuebler (drums, guitar, vocals), along with ex-Landspeedrecord! drummer Marc Berrong, and ex-Church Mice Rick Ivy (aka Rick Schaub – bass, vocals) make up the line-up on the Slow Jets’ debut CD, 2000’s “Worm into Phoenix.”

By their follow-up, 2002’s “Good Morning Stars,” the band gelled into a trio of Preston, Baier, and Berrong. Park Police’s guitarist Pat Wescott joined after the third Slow Jets release, 2004’s “Remain in Ether.” The band called it quits not long after that.

City Paper named them Baltimore’s Best Rock Band of 2003.

Kuebler formed The Oranges Band. Preston later in The Mean Spirits. Berrong later with Golden Jubilee, The Go Pills, and back in Landspeedrecord!
