Full time Top-40 club band featuring Marty Lanzino (lead vocals ex-Blazek), Bob Adams (guitar), Dave (bass), Jerry Kirkendahl (keyboards), and John Mueller (drums –member of the Rubber Band in ‘60s).
Dave was replaced with Gary Waugh (bass ex-Satin Doll) in 1976. Later members included Dennis Winterstein (vocals ex-Autumn, Blush) replacing Lanzino (who went on to Hot Property), Tommy Thompson (keyboards ex-Flywheel), Mark (drums), Mike Cashetta (sax, flute), John Hall (drums ex-Iguana), and in 1977 Lanzino returned to the group replacing Winterstein.
Proxy was managed by Joe Rubino and Crislen Entertainment. Their home base was actually Dover, Delaware where they were a nightly house band at the Ramada Inn for almost a full year. They also played the China Gardens in Dover. Back in Baltimore they played the Cromwell Holiday Inn, Ramada on Route 40, Hollywood Palace…
Waugh went on to join the Gigs, Fireworks… Waugh and Kirkendahl would later reunite as members of the Karen Goldberg Band. Hall also worked with Vince Corolla & Krackerjax, Joey & the Jammers…
